DUNSBOROUGH COUNTRY CLUB
The friendly folks at the Dunsborough Country Club have welcomed the X-Adventure event with open arms and are our host for the weekend. We ask you to please have respect for their facilities and encourage you to buy a meal or a drink from them over the weekend to support them.
The following event components are located at the Country Club:
Race administration and registration
All competitors must register at the Race Admin desks prior to your race. Also come and find us here if you have any issues or require further information.
Food, beverages and the event bar
The Country Club’s kitchens will be working overtime to keep everyone well fed over the entire event weekend with a range of healthy eat-in or eat-out options: sandwiches, salads, wraps and other healthy options at lunch time, a full menu with a range of hearty meals in the evening and snacks at any time.
There will also be a range of other food and drink vendors set up.
The Country Club’s bar will of course be open over race weekend and being just 30m from the finish line it will be the ideal location from which to enjoy the end of a good race – be it yours or someone else’s!
Kids will be kept busy (when they are not racing the kids race!) with the Climbtastic climbing wall – the tallest mobile climbing wall in the southern hemisphere and a bouncy castle on site at the Country Club all weekend.
There will be a small range of sponsor stands set up at the Country Club and we encourage competitors to come and check them out and say thank you for supporting the event.
MC and Live Race Updates
MC Rob ‘Globe’ Goyen will be calling the race and providing plenty of live updates, information and interviews over race weekend from the finish line.
Race finish line and Transition 2
Transition 2 – the Run to MTB and the race finish will also be located at the Country Club making it great for spectators to see what is going on (without needing to move!)
A considerable amount of event parking will be located on the fairways of the Country Club so we invite competitors and supporters to park at the Country Club and then just walk to the start / finish / town...
Note: there will be no road closures as part of the X-Adventure events so access throughout Dunsborough will not be restricted
The event 2015 OFFICIAL EVENT PROGRAM final race day schedule, course maps, race rules, and more will be uploaded to the website 2 weeks before the race. The 2014 event program has been left on line here so you can read it for reference.
