Rides

Lock in a great weekend of riding at the 2013 Ford Rainforest Ride!

The Ford Rainforest Ride is a mass participation road cycling event (not a race!) with three different rides to suit all types of cyclists all amidst the magnificent Otway Rainforest in and around Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road.

The courses will include a challenging 140km circuit around the Rainforest Circuit along Turtans Track through Lavers Hill, the 70km Lighthouse Discovery Ride to Cape Otway and back again and the tranquil 23km Waterfall Explorer ride to Marriners Falls and back again suitable for families.

All proceeds from the event go directly to Give Where You Live.  Serving the community since 1954, GWYL is Geelong’s premier philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving lives in the Geelong region.

Rapid Ascent will again be managing the logistics and customer service sides of the 2013 event.

Once you have booked in for this magnificent ride, please go to the Give Where You Live website to set up your Ford Rainforest Ride Fundraising Page.  This time you can personalise your own Fundraising Page and send it onto your family, friends and colleagues to raise vital funds for Give Where You Live.

Online entries to the Ford Rainforest Ride have now closed but you can still enter in person at the event registration desk on the Apollo Bay Foreshore (southern end) on Saturday between 5:00pm and 9:00pm and on Sunday after 7:00am. So it is NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN US for a magical ride in the rainforest.

The official Event Program for the 2013 Ford Rainforest Ride can be downloaded from here. This PDF document contains all the event schedule, guidelines and other important ride information and we encourage all riders to download and read it prior to the ride. Updated 14 Feb 2013.
