The Great Ocean Road Region of Victoria is world famous for its untouched beaches, soaring cliffs, lush rainforest and other natural features. Visitors to this area will be spoilt for choices, all of them very accessible.

Of the 400km of coastline between Torquay and the South Australian border, some of the more notable things to do include:

  • Surf Coast Walk - Coast through the living landscapes of the Surf Coast Walk. A 44km world-class walking destination offering natural beauty on the edge of the stunning Great Ocean Road. Whether you're a nature lover or fun lover, whether you take an hour, a day or a week, the Surf Coast Walk connects the coastal towns of Torquay, Anglesea and Aireys Inlet and puts a stunning and unique coastal environment within easy reach.

  • Surf at Bells Beach, home to the Rip Curl Pro

  • Visit Surfworld Museum and do some surf shopping at "Surf Central", home to Rip Curl, Quiksilver, Globe and many other surf manufacturers and retailers

  • Mountain bike on some of the wicked coastal trails behind Anglesea

  • Do a leisurely rainforest walk and visit the many waterfalls in the Otway Ranges - close to Lorne the waterfalls include Erskine Falls, Henderson Halls, Phantom Falls, Kalimna Falls, Sheoak Falls and Cora Lynn Cascades

  • Check out the many sea stacks and rock formations, including 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge, The Arch, Bay of Martyrs and our personal favourite, Bay of Islands

  • Visit the Otway Fly, a walk through the rainforest canopy in the Otway Ranges

  • Take a Tiger Moth or chopper flight to get an aerial view of the spectacular coastline

  • Paddle the Glenelg River and see the awesome Limestone Gorge and Caves, part of the amazing Lower Glenelg National Park
