Race and event overview

The Anaconda Adventure Race at Forster will take competitors on a spectacular off-road course through Great Lakes region around Forster on New South Wales coastline, just 3 hours drive from Sydney. If you want an adventure weekend, you’ve just found it!

Competitors in this challenging event will run through magnificent coastal scenery on hidden tracks and footpaths; you will paddle around spectacular ocean headlands and on pristine inland lakes; mountain bike through stunning wilderness on rollercoaster trails and swim in water so clear you’ll find yourself slowing down to talk to the fish. When it comes to heart-thumping fun in a beautiful part of the world - Forster has it all.

Combine all this action with an adventure expo with sponsors displays and information, the Junior Spirit race for kids, live commentary, food, drinks and entertainment all on the Forster Main Beach allowing friends and families to share in the adventure, and you’ve found the perfect weekend – GO THE DISTANCE.

Race one day or two

The Anaconda Adventure Race at Forster offers two unique and equally spectacular adventure race courses on Saturday and Sunday. Entrants can choose to do both days and gain glory in the ‘Full Anaconda’, or may complete just the Sunday course with the ‘Anaconda Half’ with both events attainable for sports men and women of all abilities.

Choose your style and get involved

The Anaconda Adventure Race can also be completed in a range of categories to get anyone and everyone to onto the start then over the finish line:
  • Individuals – do every leg as a non stop race around the track. Designed for heros and want-to-bes
  • Pairs – do every leg but in the company of your mate who’s by your side the whole way round
  • Relay teams – with up to 4 people where you do one (or more) legs each. A great way to get involved without being a super hero – build up a team of friends and work colleagues and join all the fun
