Familiarisation days provide an ideal opportunity for all prospective competitors to get a good insight into what the event will entail, to see what the course is like as well as meet a few other athletes and enjoy the beautiful Noosa and Hinterland areas.
These days are basically informal training sessions where all interested competitors are welcome to join us as we lead groups along the course. They are open to everyone (even if you have not entered) and are free of charge to attend. We will provide leadership on the day but otherwise all competitors should be self supported and be able to transport their equipment to the various transition points along the course themselves.
We will run over the entire course on the familiarisation day, completing each leg in the order it will be done during on race day. You do not have to do the entire course on the familiarisation day but can pick and choose which disciplines you want to do and come and meet us specifically for those.
The familiarisation day will commence at 7:45 in front of the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club with the swim leg and then proceed from there. You only need to meet us at the starting point and time for the leg(s) you want to do so unless you are doing the swim leg, you can meet us later as listed in the details below. Pending numbers on the day, we will split into different groups with separate leaders for faster, medium paced and slower competitors and we ask that those groups stay together throughout each discipline.
The familiarisation days are completely non committal, although it always helps us if we know how many people are going to attend, so if you could register your interest (at the top of this page), it would be much appreciated.

| 8:00 | Swimmers start swimming. |
| 9:00 | Meet for paddle at the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club beach area. |
| 9:15 | Start the paddle from the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club. (Paddle leg will finish at the Hilton Esplanade TA site). |
| 10:00 | Meet for the start of the MTB leg at the Hilton Esplanade TA. |
| 10:15 | Start MTB leg. (MTB will finish at the Lake MacDonald recreation reserve on Collwood Rd) |
| 12:45 | Meet for the start of the run leg at the Lake MacDonald recreation reserve on Collwood rd. |
| 1:00 | Start run. Run will finish at the Hilton Esplanade TA |
2:45 Meet for start of 2nd paddle leg at Hilton Esplanade TA
3:00 Depart for 2nd paddle leg from Hilton Esplanade TA

Our friends at Tri Adventure are conducting a women's only training day at Noosa on Saturday 21st July (the day before the official famil day) and extend an open invitiaiton to all women to come and be part of the fun. FREE TO ATTEND.
The day will feature Female Coaches taking competitors through aspects of the course and will focus on:
SOCIAL - a night function somewhere local RACV????? We would show some video footage of Anaconda races and have a chat about what’s involved and how to get through it…..over some social drinks and nibbles!
