Premium Margaret River Wine producers Happs Winery have become this year's official wine partners of Dunsborough’s Anaconda Adventure Race. The winemakers at Happs have bottled a limited-edition 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Endurance’ especially for the event.
“As all good winemakers know a wine that endures a little hardship and struggle bears fruit that has greater character and flavour. With that in mind we have dedicated this wine to the athletes of the Anaconda Adventure Race"
Lighten your pockets and load up on a bottle (or two or 6) ... the price of only $12 per bottle is well below retail and stocks are strictly limited ... the good folk at Happs unfortunately can't make any more 3 year old grapes.

* There is no delivery option. All purchases will be made available for collection at registration on Saturday November 3rd.
Australis's foremost wine critic James Halliday, in his annual Australian Wine Companion has repeatedly listed Happs winery in the top wineries of the region. In 2006, he awarded it the maximum possible 5 stars. The wine we are offering you here normally retails for $20 and has previously received glowing reviews:
"... rich; an amalgam of black fruits, chocolate and sweet earth; medium to full-bodied; good tannins." Rating 92/100 - James Halliday
This vintage is from the outstanding 2004 Margaret River vintage and exploits the region's speciality (and king of all grapes): cabernet sauvignon. Influential wine critic Jeremy Oliver has this to say about the 2004 Margaret River vintage in his article "So where will Australia's best 2004 wines come from ?"
"One State can actually lay claim to a classic vintage, and that State is Western Australia ... Highlights include first-rate reds ... Margaret River cabernets are fine and elegant" - Jeremy Oliver
So believe the hype and get on board for one off offer. This wine will age quite nicely too, so maybe put a couple away for 5-10 years and bring it out at a future family feast - all the while waxing lyrical about 'that epic day' in Dunsborough back in '07.
And send a note of thanks to Mr Happs.
