Merry Christmas from Rapid Ascent

(Posted - 22 Dec 2010)

The Rapid Ascent team takes great pleasure in wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and would like to thank you for the support you have given us over the last 12 months.

It has been a busy year for us with 12 events in 5 different states plus one in New Zealand, but the energy, enthusiasm and appreciation that our competitors and sponsors bring to each event makes them so worthwhile. We enjoy and draw great satisfaction from what we do and consider ourselves very lucky.

2011 brings some changes and new events into our expanding world of adventure, the first being the commencement of our newest employee, Chris Ord, who will take up the position of Marketing and Media Manager in late January. Chris was Editor of Outer Edge magazine but has been drawn to our Surf Coast home at Torquay by the lure of a pre-work surf and a post-work mountain bike ride and the opportunity to share some adventures in this magnificent part of the world.

We are also very excited about three new events we have planned for 2011: the Coastal Clash in Lancelin, WA on March 26th and 27th and the Marysville to Melbourne Multisport Challenge in Victoria on April 10th. The third event will see us setting the course and running the logistics for the famed Mark Webber Challenge in Tasmania towards the end of the year.

We can't guarantee we'll stop there either, as we have a head full of new event ideas that we are currently discussing. So keep your eye on the website and our facebook page for a few secret snippets as they get confirmed.

So thank you once again for your support and enthusiasm for our events. We hope you have a great Christmas and New Year and we look forward to seeing you at one or two of our events in 2011.
