Entries are now open for the 2013 Ford Rainforest Ride! Enter before 1 November and save 10% on your entry fee.
Early bird entries made before 1 November will also go in the running for a brilliant framed and signed photo of Sir Hubert Opperman (Oppy) – the Captain of the first Australian teams in the Tour de France in 1928 and 1931. The framed photo generously donated by our friends at Sportznut Memorabilia is a very special prize for one lucky winner.
The Ford Rainforest Ride is a mass participation road cycling event (not a race!) with three different rides to suit all types of cyclists all amidst the magnificent Otway Rainforest in and around Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road.
The courses will include a challenging 140km circuit around the Rainforest Circuit along Turtans Track through Lavers Hill, the 70km Lighthouse Discovery Ride to Cape Otway and back again and the tranquil 23km Waterfall Explorer ride to Marriners Falls and back again suitable for families.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Give Where You Live. GWYL has been serving the Geelong community since 1954 as a premier philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving lives in the Geelong region.
Rapid Ascent will again be managing the logistics and customer service sides of the 2013 event.
So be sure to put this date in the diary and tell your friends, family and colleagues about this stunning ride around the Otway Rainforest. It certainly is not to be missed!
