When the (trail) shoe doesn't fit...

(Posted - 05 Aug 2012)

Our man with a lifechanging plan, newly-annointed trail runner Scott Knabel, decides, if he's going to get serious about singletrack (and he is), that he'd better look into a better pair of shoes than his old squash clogs... but how to choose the right pair of trail runners? He heads down to Footpro, a specialist footwear retailer, to check into his gait and discovers that everytime he lands, he's pounding down with the equivalent of half a tonne...and squash shoes just won't cut it...

Catch up with Scott at the next instalment of the Salomon Trail Run Series at Silvan 26 August:

And while the 100km Surf Coast Century in September may be on calendar too early for his quest to become an ultra runner (check his new blog: scottsultraquest.wordpress.com/ ), we still reckon a few of you should team up, and run it as a team, with Scott as your lead runner! Let us know if anyone is keen to help convince Scott on to the Surf Coast Century Trail
