Anaconda Augusta training sessions kick off soon

(Posted - 03 Jul 2012)

It may be four months away but now's the time to really get into training gear of the Augusta, WA, edition of the Anaconda Adventure Race National Series. A great way to slide into the groove of training is to do it in a group. Which is where mobs like b.F!t come into their own, offering specialised training sessions that will focus on the fitness and skills needed to have a great race come November 3-4.

b.F!t's Anaconda (WA) Training Group kicks off on 31st July 2012, with Mike Barton and Sally Scaffidi offering a free training group that will last over 12 weeks and is for all levels and abilities of athletes.

"We will be covering the disciplines of Off Road Running, Open Water Swimming, Ocean Paddling, and Mountain Biking," says Mike.

Entries are still open for the Anaconda Mini at Augusta, see www.anacondaadventurerace.com

MORE TRAINING? WHY NOT COMPETE TO TRAIN...

Another great training (okay, so it's hardcore training) option is to enter the Mainpeak Multisport on Sunday 9 September.

One of Australia’s toughest multisport events, it returns to Perth this year featuring a 138km course completed by trail running, road riding and river paddling from Toodyay in the Avon Valley to downtown Perth.
