Join us on Facebook – for your say and greater interaction in what we do

(Posted - 28 Jan 2010)

We recently created an extensive profile on Facebook and invite you to become a fan of our site to keep up to date with news and snippets about our events and the outdoor sports scene.

This page is as much yours as it is ours and we welcome your comments and interaction on a whole range of topics on Facebook – ranging from feedback on our events and how we can make them better, through to uploading your photos and videos from our events that you want to share with the world.

You have our promise that we will try to provide content of value through Facebook – we will not be updating our status every time we go to the toilet but will use it as a medium to pass on smaller, tasty bits of information about the MTB, Adventure Racing and related scenes.

We will also be running a number of competitions via Facebook so it pays to be a fan so you are in the running to win some sponsors’ products, free entries, photos vouchers and more.

We will still keep our forum on the Rapid Ascent website but over time think that more of the forum-style discussions will take place on Facebook and we want you to be part of it.

Twitter Page

We have also been providing regular event updates and reports to our Twitter page, with photos, results and other information going up in a steady stream during each event. Twitter will be the vehicle for race day information and reports so make sure you check it out.

Rapid Ascent YouTube Channel

We have also created a Rapid Ascent YouTube channel with a whole range of videos and clips from our events uploaded all to the one place. There is some never seen before footage from the Channel 9’s Search and Rescue program when they came down to film the Lorne Anaconda Adventure Race, as well as clips from the Otway Odyssey, Red Centre MTB Enduro and others.

We will upload plenty more clips and videos during our events so you can relive the experiences after the race with an even bigger grin. Click here to visit the Rapid Ascent YouTube channel.
