Peak Adventure Launches New Website(All events - Posted 7/24/2008)
One of Australia’s most accomplished Adventure Racer’s Jarad Kohlar through Peak Adventure has just launched a website for adventure racer's and people looking at getting involved in the sport. Jarad offers training services throughout Victoria and is conducting weekly group kayak training in Port Melbourne and holds kayak Crit racing on the last Wednesday of every month.
The website has plenty of information including training session information with Jarad himself or in a group environment with all equipment supplied if needed.
Jarad through Peak Adventure is also running kayak training days down at Lorne on
Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th November 2008
Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November 2008
This is a great way to familiarise yourself with the conditions down at Lorne in preparation for the Anaconda Adventure on Sunday December 7th, 2008 whilst learning to negotiate the surf in different ocean kayak crafts that Jarad has on offer. For more information on Peak Adventure and training services provided visit their website

Competitor Profile: Team Tri-Nation Chicks, Anaconda Adventure Race, Gold Coast(Anaconda Adventure Race, Gold Coast, QLD - Posted 7/22/2008)
Bree (Australia), Megs (South Africa), Bel (NZ) and Kaz (NZ) are a bunch of friends who make up the all female team Tri-Nation Chicks which is heading to the Gold Coast Anaconda Adventure Race on 10th August. Karen, the ‘organiser’ gave us some background on the team and sent a photo of the girls minus Bree (right).
Says Karen, “two of us recently had babies which is our motivation for the race, we needed a reason to get back out there and start training". Can’t be easy with new-borns at home but there is always the carrot of a free Gage Roads beer at the end of the race dangling for motivation too - “I remember that it went down pretty well last year" added Karen with a smile in her email. Enjoy your day out with your united nations team.
