Training & Preparation

Training and Preparation for the Anaconda Adventure Races at Augusta

For many people, the idea of doing an Adventure Race is a bit extreme, its a bit outside their comfort zone and going to involve some time in the hurt box. Now this may or may not be true because depending on the training and preparation you do leading into the race you can could just was easily find yourself smiling from ear to ear before, during and after the race as you find that YOU CAN DO IT with a little bit of preparation.

We at Rapid Ascent are all about encouraging people to get into adventure racing and keep fit whilst enjoying the great outdoors. That’s why we’ve compiled the list of training tips, equipment advice, course recommendations and race nutrition links and information below. We hope that this becomes a significant resource for both newcomers to the sport as well as the old hands who have done this event and others numerous occasions before, because we can all continue to learn and improve.

So have a read of the resources below and if you have any additional links, tips or information you learn along the way then let us know by e-mailing info@rapidascent.com.au and we’ll share it with others as well.
