Notorious for being the toughest of the Anaconda Adventure Race races, the Gold Coast stood true to form today and then doubled the challenge as rain fell half way through the race. From hot to cold in 27 hours

I struggle over winter. I struggle for motivation to get up early and go training when its dark and damp, struggle to raise enthusiasm to ride my mountain bike when it’s wet and muddy outside (trashing tracks and bikes in the process) and struggle against the cold and wet weather that seems to have enshrouded my home at Anglesea more so than ever before this year. This has been reproduced with his permission: Our sport always has an element of risk. And let’s be honest with ourselves, we all like it that way.
