experiences and it's all been possible through your support. m’s top 5 memories from Rapid Ascent Events in 2009, he spirit and enthusiasm of the Bike Buller MTB Festival – we scored some simply magic weather up at Mt. Buller and seeing riders with smiles from ear to ear as they
raced their way down the Super-D with the brilliant Victorian Alps all around us was great. The looks of exhausted accomplishment and utter joy between team mates in the Keen Adventure Race as they crossed the finish line in Anglesea. ... {Click here for full story.}

Christie Sym - what ripper day
A lot of Anaconda Adventure Race competitors might have noticed the absence of our 2008 women’s series champion - Christie Sym - from this year’s events. Well Christie has turned her very skilled hand towards triathlon and on the same weekend as we held the Lorne Anaconda Adventure Race, Christie tackled her first Ironman with
incredible style – here is her race report. A fair few days have passed since my first Ironman Triathlon, held in the quiet coastal town of Busselton in south-western Australia. I have only now given up on the idea of awaking from a dream to find myself in Busselton awaiting the big race. Yes, that’s correct, I think I am just,
ever so slowly, beginning to realise that it really did happen. Of course if it was in fact just a dream, I would have now most certainly have set some form of record for time asleep, and missed the race. Anyway I am sure I’m awake so on with the story… ... {Click here for full story.}

Recognise this bloke – we do!
Yes, this is new Leader of the Opposition - Mr Tony Abbott and yes, he has done the Anaconda Adventure Race!. It was September 2007 and we were gearing up for the inaugural Forster Anaconda Adventure Race and about 4 days before the event we got a call from Mr. Abbott’s office saying he would like to come up and do the event – was that OK? And, could he borrow a boat and a bike (and just about
everything in between as well!). Of course we said yes.After some tooing and froing over the next few days (during which we never really expected him to actually attend) he arrived at Forster about 20 minutes before the start saying ”what do I do?”. ... {Click here for full story.}

Grant Suckling - Race report from the Anaconda Adventure Race, Lorne
Those who know me know what this race means to me and why, it was the first time I tried my hand at Adventure Racing towards the end of 2006. In my wildest dreams I couldn’t have hoped to take the journey I have since then. At the time I day-dreamed about one day being good enough to race the entire Anaconda series and be a contender for a top 10
finish in at least one race. The Anaconda Series has been a great competition so far this year and I’m very proud of my podiums in the first two races, as far as life goals go I was ahead of schedule coming into the Lorne race and was aiming for a podium on home
turf after another good preparation. {Click here for full story.}
