2009 Keen Adventure Race Preview

The 2009 Keen Adventure Race is set to start on Tuesday 28th April at the picturesque town of Wye River on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria. Originally, scheduled to be held at the glorious Wilsons Promontory and South Gippsland, this area was devastated by the February-March bushfires which saw over 60% of Wilsons Prom burn in a fire that lasted over a month. Following many lengthy discussions with Parks Victoria we made a last minute decision to re-locate the Keen Adventure Race to the Otway Ranges, which were spared from the bushfires. With 247 riders entered so far, the Anaconda MTB Enduro – Red Centre is shaping up to be a ripper

Not only is the entry list growing to mammoth proportions but so is the calibre of the field entered in this year’s Anaconda MTB Enduro – Red Centre with some of the nation’s hottest riders set to battle it out in the desert in late May. After receiving rave reviews after last year’s event, the 2009 Anaconda MTB Enduro – Red Centre has attracted a record field of 240 riders (that’s still growing!) with riders ranging from elite level heroes to those that just want to experience an epic MTB event in an epic location. Mountain Designs Great Southern Adventure Race information night

Keen Adventure Race, Team Profile: One night stand

Liam Drew and Rachel Ockelford make up one of the 10 mixed teams in the upcoming Keen Adventure Race, they are travelling from Wellington, New Zealand for the event.
