The first Forster course familiarisation is this weekend
The all new Anaconda Adventure Race course at Forster will be revealed this weekend.
That’s right, it's been kept largely secret up until now with the course only
shown to a few names in our little black book of contacts but this weekend is it:
the newest adventure course in New South Wales is going on show and you’re
invited.
The first course familiarisation session for the Anaconda Adventure Race at Forster
is being held this weekend on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of July. Course familiarisation
sessions are always a lot of fun; as well as being the ideal way to checkout the

A call to action for all Junior Survivors on the Gold Coast
All the kids who did the Junior Survivor on the Gold Coast last year will tell you
how much fun they had … what they don't know is what they’re in for this year… yes, we’ve
changed the course! We’ve added obstacles, renewed adventures and built up
the fun for a Junior Survivor that’s even bigger and better than last time!
That’s right everyone, there's a lot more fun to be
had at this year’s event and we welcome you all to return to the Tugun Surf
Club on August 4th at 4pm for the next episode of the Junior Survivor Challenge.

Anaconda Forster: Athlete Profile - Krishna Stanton
41 year old Krishna Stanton has the running bug entrenched in her veins,
a middle to long distance runner since the age of 10, Krish is a dual Olympian and
a silver medal winner in the Marathon at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002.
Krish is the latest recruit to enter the Anaconda Race at Forster (she’s a
part
of team Help Yourself), and has entered the event because she loves the area and wants
to help make the new venture a success for the region.

Anaconda Gold Coast: Athlete Profile - Amanda Rankin
Looks like Anaconda Ashmore have an ace up their sleeve for this year’s Gold
Coast race; Ashmore Club Ambassador is none other than Athens Olympian Amanda Rankin.
Amanda competed in the LK1 500m at the 2004 Athens Olympics, a clear sporting highlight
for the Gold Coast local. Her vivid recollections of the event were the opening
ceremony, the goose bumps she felt when on the starting line, and the crowd that
was screaming so loud it was “awesome”.
Amanda’s weekly training sessions consist of 1 – 2 sessions a day of

Blackmores Mountain Man Tri Challenge - Sunday September 9th, 2007
The Annual Blackmores Mountain Man Tri Challenge will take place on Sunday
September 9, 2007 and is the ideal lead up event to the Anaconda Adventure Race
at Forster on September 22nd - 23rd.
The Mountain Man Tri Challenge, sees competitors bike, kayak and run around a challenging
42km course. It is a trial of skills very different to those seen in 'classical'
triathlons but ideal for ‘The Anaconda’. Competitors have to battle
a 22km bike ride over The Bucketts, they then tackle 11kms of challenging Barrington
River rapids, and finally a 10km run along farm tracks below the Bucketts Mountains
back into Gloucester District Park.
