The Giant Odyssey remains Australia’s most respected MTB marathon with an even broader range of events to cater for all riders. Lock it in for 2016 and be part of our celebratory 10th year edition.
By popular vote the format of the 2016 Giant Odyssey will be the same as 2015 and earlier years with the same 100km and 50km courses and the event starting and finishing at Forrest .
But NEW for 2016 will be the medium distance 30km Giant Rookie event – a race that’s custom designed for MTB newcomers and those not quite up to 50km. Other evolutions mean that the Giant Pioneer will be shortened from 15km to 10km to be even more welcoming to kids and we are including a new Grommets Ride for little kids on balance bikes around the Forrest Footy Ground.

What they say about the Giant Odyssey
"The Odyssey is such an epic race. The climbing and the distance make it difficult but there is almost a brutality about some of the sections like the sledgehammer. Yet the reward of the single track is so good that you still end up with a grin on your face," Julian Morton, 9-time Odyssey rider
“The Odyssey is a journey race, you ride through so much different terrain and it's all magic with some pretty sensational single track to numb the pain!” Jess Douglas 9-time Odyssey rider
"Great variety - fire trails, tight single track, swooping berms and jumps, steep climbs all in beautiful eucalypt forest," David Rusden, 9-time Odyssey competitor
“I’ve done every 100km race in Australia and this is right up there! The trails were superb and the single track was spectacular. I had so much fun. It was worth the 9 hour drive," Garry James from Canberra
" The Forrest singletrack is amongst the best in Australia and everyone should tick it off their bucket list!" Adrian Jackson, 2010 winner
