What is the Anaconda Adventure Race
at Noosa?
Is there even such a thing as a ‘hard day in Noosa’? We’re not sure, but the first ever Anaconda Adventure Race to be held in the Queensland holiday hotspot will certainly make you sweat. The premier 63km Anaconda Adventure race will appeal to the tougher nuts willing to push the adventure limit in this, the main race of the weekend, which takes in an exciting all-new course ripe for the exploring.
The Hasting Street crowds will cheer as you plunge into the crystal waters off Noosa’s Main Beach before taking to the kayak to round Noosa Spit and up Noosa River towards Goat Island. Then it’s off water and onto the bike as you take to the trails running through Tewantin State Forest. It’s a decent ride at more than 34km, after which you ditch the bike on the shores of beautiful Lake Macdonald to take to the trail for a stretch of running back through the Tewantin timber.
Another paddle back downriver into the back of Hastings Street and the crowds will again welcome you as you put in a final push on the run over the finish line.

The Anaconda Adventure Race at Noosa can be completed in a range of categories to get anyone and everyone over the finish line:
- Individuals – do every leg as a non stop race
- Pairs – do every leg but in the company of your mate who’s by your side the whole way
- Relay teams – with up to 4 people where you do one (or more) legs each. A great way to get involved without being a super hero – build up a team of friends and work colleagues and join all the fun
